M&E Framework
In 1996, PIANGO implemented a monitoring and evaluation system (M&E) that is operational but not fully documented for key internal and external stakeholders. In consultation with NZAID in 2007, PIANGO committed to conducting a rapid review of its current Planning, Implementation, Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting (PIMER) tools and to preparing a revised PIMER framework.
PIANGO's current PIMER consists of a range of diverse processes and elements involving staff meetings, management meetings, annual plan preparations and a multitude of reports circulating within PIANGO and between PIANGO and its network of partners and sub-contractors. The focus of the current system of PIMER is mainly on activity monitoring and reporting. It is professionally managed and operating well.
